Mk Yurttas
2003, completed the undergraduate and the graduate program at the Department of Architecture at Istanbul Technical University with the thesis “the hybridization of body and technology in the context of postorganic paradigm“.
2011, began the research on body technologies for the proficiency in art degree in Yıldız Technical University in Istanbul.
2012, was accepted to UOA London Central Saint Martins MA Fine art programme with this research.
Mk’s works play with the cultural codes established by meaning structures and are spinning around the keywords like “schizo-creative, ghostly-becoming, post-human”. They were shown in the art biennials, exhibitions and festivals in Turkey, Holland, Germany, Italy and Poland.
Lives and works in Istanbul.

The video is a part of the series of works titled “Earth” which is related to the subjects of origination and eschatology. The series consist of 3 photo series of 9 photos and a video loop. The names of the series and video are (by order) Earth (bleu), Earth (rouge), Earth (iron star) and Earth.
