O rządach miłości

An animated, personal, and philosophical documentary. Mariusz – the film's protagonist and narrator – tells a simple story: about himself, about others, about visions, about dreams, about mood changes. Adela Kaczmarek follows Mariusz's words and drawings. He has been mentally ill for many years. Through his drawings and his tale we discover this man's world – in both its difficult-to-penetrate aspect of what we call illness, and its universal aspect.

  • Adela Kaczmarek

    Adela Kaczmarek was born in 1985 in Warsaw. In 2003-2008 she studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 2012 she received the MKiDN scholarship and had her film début with The full sun. That year she also took part in the POLSKA.DOC seminar, organised by the Association of Creative Initiatives “ę,” for which she made the animated documentary The governance of love.
