  • Aylin Gökmen

    Swiss-Turkish filmmaker who holds a B.A. in Arts from Lausanne University and an M.A. in Documentary Filmmaking from the DocNomads program. She is an alumna of other prestigious programs, such as the Aristoteles Workshop, the Salzburg Summer Academy of Fine Arts and the Zurich Film Festival Academy. Combining documentary and experimental approach, her works revolve around themes of memory, imagination and landscape, and have been screened internationally. In 2020, she founded “A Vol d’Oiseau”, a production structure dedicated to the development of various Swiss and international projects. She is also a contributor and co-curator of the Docs in Orbit podcast.

    Documentary film director. He is a graduate of the Gdynia Film School, Film Studies at the University of Łódź as well as the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. He has participated in the exchange programme with EICTV in Cuba, film workshops of the Berlinale Talent Campus EsoDoc, the Go Short Talent Campus and Poland Doc. He takes part in documentary and social projects, workshops for children and youth in Turkey, Romania and Poland. In his films, he is looking for different forms of expression ranging from cinéma vérité through personal documentaries to mocumentaries.

Her documentary short film “My quarantine bear” has won the Special Mention at Vision du Réel: Her animation short “STEP INTO THE RIVER” has won the Best Animation Short at Palm Springs International Shortfest, Tricky Realities award at Tricky Women film festival, Silver Hugo award at Chicago International Film Festival, and Silver Dove Award at DOK Leipzig.
