Joanna Kos-Krauze - director, screenwriter and producer. Co-author of awarded films. President of the Directors’ Guild of Poland in 2013-2018, currently vice-President. In 2006-2013 President of the Polish Screenwriters Section, member of the Artistic Board of the Munk Studio-PFA, as well as European and Polish Film Academy. Expert for the Association of Polish Filmmakers, Silesia Film Fund, Gdynia Film Fund and Euroimages. Her latest film “Birds are Singing in Kigali” received awards at several dozen festivals in Poland and abroad, including Karlovy Vary, Chicago, Locarno, Luxembourg, Kolkata, Istanbul and Gdynia.
Miriam Ryndova - graduated in Aesthetics and Literature. She wrote on film (Vlna), organized film conferences (SCCA), curated music videos and animated films (Datatransfer). Miriam worked for Institute of Documentary Film as a project manager and curator of East Silver and East Doc Platform, founded Silver Eye and EDP Awards, triggered Doc Tank program for transmedia. She pre-selects documentary films for Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and documentary projects (Czech Television, dok.incubator).
Maryam Tafakory - born in Iran, she is an artist-filmmaker based in London. Part performance, her work draws on the notion of personal as political in a fractured narrative that involves a subtle negotiation between factual and fiction interweaving poetry, (self)-censorship and religion. Her works have exhibited internationally including Rotterdam IFFR, Edinburgh EIFF, Zurich Film Festival, Melbourne MIFF, ZINEBI, Hamburg IKFF, ICA London, BFI London, Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, Ji.hlava IDFF, Barbican Centre London, New York UnionDocs, and BBC Three. She has received several awards for her films including Best Short Film at DocumentaMadid and she was Awarded the Colgate/Global Flaherty filmmaker residency.
